Hash Generator & Identifier

Generate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, NTLM and CRC32 hashes from any text, or switch to Identify to work out what type an unknown hash is. Everything runs in your browser.

Generate a hash

Type any text and the tool instantly computes its MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, NTLM and CRC32 digests. The SHA family uses your browser's native Web Crypto API; MD5 and NTLM run in local JavaScript. Click any result to copy it.

Identify an unknown hash

Not sure what a hash is? Switch to Identify and paste it. Based on its length and format the tool lists the likely algorithms, a 32-character hex string, for example, could be MD5, NTLM, MD4 or LM, while 64 hex characters points to SHA-256. It also recognises prefixed formats like bcrypt ($2b$), Argon2 and the $1$ / $5$ / $6$ crypt schemes.
